Calm Cool and Questioning

“Mathematics Can Never Tell You What Is; Only What Would Be.” – Poincare
Given enough time science will prove what is, it has before. - Science

Why do we cry? Laugh? Smile? Love? Become aware? Believe? Yearn? Dream? Hope?
We are subject to our environment and biology - Psychology

My question is not why but Why? Ultimately Why is life as such? Why were you born?

Why do we want more out of life than just surviving, domination, eating, and procreating?
Why can science be understood?
Why do we cry? Laugh? Smile?

Rom 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. (ESV)

First 2 Weeks back

Ok so today is the first day of campus kick off. I was able to meet up with Mark White, Jeremy Loney, and Chris Kovach to do a prayer walk around O'shag along with having lunch with Jeremy and Mark. This day has been encouraging already and I was able to run into a couple of people who were interested in meeting up sometime to study the bible. Today was full of running into disciples and building closer relationships with brothers. I really hope this semester goes like last semester, if not better. God can do amazing things with those who are obedient to his word.

Die for something greater than yourself

Mark Twain
"Few things are harder to put up with than a good example"

Theodore Roosevelt
"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failures, than rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat"

Romans 10:1-2 ESV
Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

Douglas Jacoby, The Spirit, IPI
"The world is looking for a cause, something to live for. Usually people rally behind one cause or another, but seldom the right one. It is up to us to show them that Jesus Christ is worth living for. And dying, if that is what we are called to do."

Douglas Jacoby, Genesis, Science & History, IPI
"On your tombstone there will be two dates seperated by a dash. That dash is your life!"

Joh Lennon
"Life is what happens to you while you are making other plans."

Fasting

I have set this up as a way to share how fasting has helped you or scriptures you use to help others understand fasting.

Acts 14:21-25

21They preached the good news in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, 22strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God," they said. 23Paul and Barnabas appointed elders[a] for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust. 24After going through Pisidia, they came into Pamphylia, 25and when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia.
